The Body-Ecology Lab (BEL) explores embodied and ecological learning through the creative and performing arts. At BEL, we consider how creative practice with and through the body can inform how we understand our social, political, and ecological systems. Drawing from ethnographic, performance, and multimodal methods, BEL’s approach is guided by the question: what stories can our bodies remember, as well as reimagine, about our relationship with the land?
